Okay, the Samsung 305T is now firmly established on my desk. I’ve packed the old 20″ and 19″ displays. Cables and stuff are still splayed about – I’ll get to that tomorrow. The Sammy is connected to my Macbook Pro, as is the aluminum keyboard. Pretty sweet so far….

Webcomic Advice by Dick Dale

Well, not exactly.

Surf guitar legend Dick Dale’s advice is geared for up-and-coming musicians, but I feel that much of what he says is equally pertinent to writers, webcartoonists, and other creative types. What you create is your own – so be careful before you sign any contracts or deals. Special thanks to my pal Justin Hamrick for sending this along.

The Server Switch

Last night Lunarpages moved my domains over to a new server (bigger, faster, stronger, etc.). A few comments that came through last night / this morning were lost in the shuffle – but outside of that, I believe things are running okay. Hopefully the site loads faster now…

Let me know if you experience any unusual behavior with the site…

Tuesday plugs…

Outside of the latest Uncubed, here are some other noteworthy sites you should check out this morning:

PSDTuts: Some of the best Photoshop Tutorials on the web. Very high quality step-by-step techniques to get the most out of Photoshop. This one, on cool lighting effects, struck my fancy.

11 Ways to Get Rid of Brain Rot – clear out the cobwebs in your head and add more brain muscle.

Your Hard Drive Will Fail (It’s Just a Question of When) – there is no such thing as permanency when it comes to storage. Most of this info is old hat to most techies – but the one that’s probably the most overlooked is testing your restored data every once in a while.

25 Beautifully Colored Websites: Good design is never accidental.  Here are some tips for making your color choices more effective. I didn’t recognize any of the websites on the list, save for Veerle’s Blog, which I already peruse.

Happy Tuesday!
