Ug, salads. For much of the past year I got in the habit of eating a salad for dinner every night and many nights it was so unrewarding I just ended up snacking afterwards.
I’ve been having bad digestion problems since I was in India last summer and when I ate salads I usually started getting bloated and uncomfortable afterwards, followed by diarrhea with clearly recognizable, undigested vegetables in it… And I found dal has been about the worst, not merely diarrhea, but extremely painful, like it’s trying to rip a whole new exit from my body.
Roast beef is much more gentle on my stomach.
I like salads on occasion if I’ve had a heavy meal for lunch. But I can’t eat salads every night…
