It’s hard to keep up with software updates.
Whether its upgrading your OS to the latest and greatest, or keeping tabs on the newest version of your favorite applications / utilities – it seems like I’m updating software on an almost weekly basis. I remember a time when software updates were rare and infrequent. (Those were pre-Internet, you young whippersnappers.) Major releases happened every 2 years. Now it seems that new versions are updating semi-annually.
Truth be told, most people don’t need to upgrade to the latest and greatest. It’s expensive and, in most cases, it won’t really buy you much more than what you currently have. In fact, I’d wager that many people only use a fraction of the capabilities of whatever they’re using now. But new and shiny keeps the consumerism juggernaut happy, I suppose.
(Until the Rapture, that is.)
But, in case the world doesn’t end in two days, you can now purchase the first PC Weenies book at an even lower price. As always, thanks for reading and sharing the ‘toon.
