Are you Siri-ous?

My tongue is firmly in its cheek with today’s comic. No, I don’t have an iPhone4S but I hear that its new voice recognition capabilities are something out of the future, or at least out of Star Trek. The iPhone4S is practically a tricorder when you think about it. All we need are warp technology and the ability to teleport (“transport”) people from place to place and I’ll be happy.

And while I’m dreaming, why not throw in a Holodeck for good measure?

Seriously, we’re living in the future. I hope we can handle it.

Here are the inks for today’s comic:

P.S. I’ve got a new illustration up for sale. Check it!

I’ve never really wanted to talk to my computer… When I got OS/2 Warp back in the 90’s it came with a headset and voice recognition software built-in and the only thing I wanted were the “four letter undo commands”. Where I’d be working away, make a mistake and utter “shit!” and it would undo…

On the other hand, my uncle who got me interested in computer programming used to have a sign in his office

Blessed be those who speak to inanimate objects…
…For they shall be computer programmers.

Tell me what you think!
