Another Artist Edition print – complete!

Here’s another piece that was specifically created for a customer who purchased an Artist Edition of “Rebootus Maximus”. These are specifically for folks that purchase the Artist Edition. This one took me 3 hours to create. All prints are on 8.5″ x 11″ cardstock paper. Each unique print that I create is signed and stamped with a one of a kind PC Weenies stamp, so you know it’s the real deal!

If you want an Artist Edition book with your own custom PC Weenies print, I’m accepting orders until Friday, after which the next open slot for such prints is the beginning of next year. Given the amount of time these take to do, orders will be processed on a first come first serve basis. You’ve gotta order before Friday December 4th if you want your order to arrive in time for Christmas. (I’m limiting these to 10 unique pieces, because I have to also pack and prepare for an overseas trip in two weeks.)

Beardus Maximus Update and more…

I’m visiting my parents in Knoxville for the weekend. The last two days were spent attending a wedding and reception for some family friends. Late nights, coupled with colder weather than I’m used to, and dust allergies have all come together to make me feel less than my optimal self.

Book sales have been progressing, but I’m still 16 books shy of wearing my beard to India. Don’t miss out on the special sale that lasts until December 1st! Trust me, this is the best deal I can offer!

While at home, I rummaged through a lot of my personal belongings, including my comics:

I found a Spanish copy of The Punisher in my collection, which I vaguely remember getting from a high school friend.

I also found an original art piece by Don Rosa signed to me. I’m a big Uncle Scrooge fan, and Don happily obliged me by drawing this gorgeous piece. I remember meeting Rosa at a signing in Knoxville – if I recall correctly, it was at the JC Penny’s in West Town Mall in the early 90′s.

In 1993, I met Dave Sim at Dragon Con. He drew in my Cerebus “phone book”, and what I remember most about our meeting was that he took time out to look at my work and give me some good feedback.

I also came across some of my older pieces of art, featuring Maximus and his friends, drawn from the early to mid-90′s.

I also found my Colecovision, which (surprisingly) still works.

And here are a few of the carts I bought during the Colecovision’s heyday.

Each item brought back a flood of memories of a time and place long ago.

“Rebootus Maximus” makes yet another appearance – this time with David LaMason, the cartoonist behind the funny webcomic Unbearable Bears. Here’s David holding his comic goodies:

And here’s some really awesome fan art he drew. I think he did a fantastic rendition of Bob. He looks quite the little devil. I love it!

Here’s a little Beardus Maximus progress update. 30 more “Rebootus Maximus” copies need to be sold before I can wear my beard to India and shave my head bald.

60 more copies need to be sold before I sport a dapper mohawk. The deadline to order books is December 17th. I’m off to India on the 19th and the 18th is allotted for head shaving (provided readers come through with their end of the bargain, that is.) ;)
