It’s Independence weekend, and I wanted to run a few custom comics I drew for my site sponsor, Other World Computing, in case you haven’t seen them. What you may not have seen are the under-drawings (process work) for both strips, which are presented below:
I was given carte-blanche to do what I wanted with the OWC Mascot, Globeman, and one of my first tasks (outside of giving him eyes and a mouth) was to give him some personality and attitude. I’ve used OWC for many years. Their customer service service is excellent as is their selection of quality computer add-ons (memory, hard drives, enclosures, etc). Give ‘em a whirl when you’re shopping around, and be sure to tell ‘em Bob sent ya!

Weird. Earlier today I too could not see the images but now they work fine. :)
Great comics, but if they’re used as actual advertising for OWC, might there not be an issue of false advertising if none of the staff in the store at a given moment actually speak Klingon?
I mean, obviously it’s a joke, but someone might try to claim false advertising, so you might want to add a disclaimer there somewhere.
Actually, these comics were posted on the macsales.com blog – not used in any advertising literature. It’s all tongue in cheek. :)
