I thought I’d share another set of single panel remakes this week, as I attempt to catch up from my recent travels. Coming back from Kids Read Comics I feel even more inspired to create more comics! The ‘toon revamp for today was originally drawn back in 2001.

Does the update reflect a newer, more sadistic side of Bob? The original comic looked as though some-one walked up to him to complain about a broken printer (working in IT, that happens almost daily to me!!) whereas when I saw the newer version, it almost has a subtext of Bob actively encouraging his job security!
(I think it’s the combination of the way Bob’s standing over the printer while it’s smoking coupled with the annoyed face of the user!)
You nailed it, Tony. The newer version has a more overt representation of Bob’s personality.

Reminds me of how ER nurses respond to the stupid things people do to themselves (especially while drinking).
