I recently had to reinstall Windows7 (long story, filled with trauma – but I’ll spare you the ugly details). So, I’m back to a virgin copy of Windows 7. I’ve installed 7-Zip, Google Chrome and Dropbox, but I’m looking for more. In the comments below, could you point me to some must-have freeware apps and utilities I could benefit from on that platform? I would be ever so grateful.

It’s not a single app so much as a great way to reinstall stuff.
As for individual apps, Revo Uninstaller, CCleaner and Malwarebytes are all quite good.
Chami’s HTML-Kit (http://www.chami.com/html-kit/). The best html/css/php/javascript/any-other-web-tech editor around (and it’s FREE)! I only open windoze on my Mac to use this program. I wish they would port it to Mac to give Adobe/Dreamweaver a kick in the pants.
