Presenting the first drawing I’ve created using my Intuos4 tablet:
A write-up on first impressions will have to wait until tomorrow.

My new Wacom Intuos4 arrived this evening. I found it sitting in its box all by its lonesome outside my door, like a lost puppy dog. I ordered the medium size from Amazon, which is comparable to my 6 x 8 Intuos3 tablet. In typical nerd fashion, there would be photos, but Aarti has my camera. (Doh!)
I have yet to put the Intuos4 through any paces (believe it or not, I haven’t even opened the box yet!)
It’s the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. My Intuos3 tablet, which has served me exceedingly well for so many years, has now found a new owner. Tomorrow, it will begin its journey to its new home, along with a specially crafted piece of hand inked artwork on Bristol paper.
I guess it’s time to open the box now…

A new UNcubed comic is now available for your perusal. For those who are new to the strip, UNcubed is an autobiographical comic that I write and draw once a week. Take a look, and if you enjoy it, please share the comic with a friend!

Poor guy, if only he knew Bob…
Nothing’s better than acing a technical interview. Except for rubbing it in when you know more than the interviewer ;)

It’s been a while since I’ve worked on an art brainstorming exercise. This exercise involves looking at random shapes and finding forms within them. It’s a great way to yield new characters and tap into your inner creativity.

A topical bonus ‘toon inspired by Oprah Winfrey’s debut on Twitter.
Enjoy!

Update: I just realized that today’s comic is the 1337th PC Weenies comic. What do I win?
Work on building the first PC Weenies book has begun in earnest. Thus far, I’ve been hammering out the details for the format, dimensions and size of the book. The format and dimensions have been nailed down, by and large.
Up above you can see a small test print I made on my laser printer to hammer out the dimensions of the book. My goal is to have the book complete by the summer. This time, it’s for real!
