Friday’s Cognitive Daily article entitled “Casual Fridays: Mac users don’t like people touching their technology” was the driving inspiration behind today’s comic.
I’m very apprehensive with sharing technology or anything else I cherish and value. You’ll never see me letting anyone borrow my laptop, comic books, or iPod. Those are just off grounds, buster.
One of my biggest pet peeves is people who tend to use their fingers while pointing something out on my computer screen. I hate fingerprints and smudges on my display. Whenever I buy something expensive and fragile, I always buy a protective case for it.
What I’d like to know is if other people can relate to this. I’ve opened a forum thread on this very topic so drop by and share your thoughts…

It’s not just Apple/Mac/iPod users. I think it is the techie way of doing things.
Oh, yes! I agree totally. I’ve never been too keen on loaning out my books because I either don’t get them back, or they come back with stains or rips. I’m the same way with my tech ever since someone installed a piece of software on my computer without telling me, and unintentionally installed a virus.
I work too hard for my things to let someone, even with the best of intentions, ruin them.
I fell ya on the finger print screen thing. I absolutely HATE it when people use their finger to point some thing out on the screen, as if they need to physically touch what ever it is they’re talking about. Like just tell me and I can see just fine what you mean…sheesh! Dude that has to be one of my biggest “under my skin” things. I wanna just break their fingers and shove them up their… (ahhh sorry got a little carried away) But yeah the finger thing is big for me. :)
the other pet peeve I have is people who open and close the laptop lid by the left or ride side of the display. It invariably gets finger-prints on the display, and the uneven force applied can cause the hinges to wear faster.
