Last Friday night, myself, Jerzy Drozd, and Mark Rudolph (The Art and Story podcast) convened with cartoonists Brian Anderson, Eliza Frye, and Diana Nock to informally discuss our favorite subject: making comics.
We’ve dubbed our show The Sequential Artists’ Pub, and the first episode is now available for a listen.
The genesis of the idea for this new show sprang up from a Twitter post where I pontificated the notion of a virtual bar where cartoonists from all walks could bring their favorite drink and talk about comics. Jerzy and Mark both really dug the idea, and a week later, the show became a reality.
Everyone who attended had a fantastic time, and I’m excited about the show’s future.
Our next show will be on Friday, June 13th, at 10PM eastern, and I’ll post reminders for the show on Twitter (my ID is kms007) and the blog. The Sequential Artists’ Pub will also be available on iTunes, so if you can’t make the show, you can catch up with an episode you’ve missed.
Jerzy, Mark and I would definitely appreciate any feedback on our show – and we hope to open the floor to ALL cartoonists and fans of comics to come by for our next episode.
